Professional Experience
Programming Co-Manager,
Murray Electric System (June 2003 to present): Responsible for
acquiring and screening content for airing on Channel 15, Murray’s public access
channel; draft contracts for businesses wishing to lease access; create and
maintain a consistent weekly program schedule.
Photographer, Murray Electric System (June 2003 to present): Film
and edit a variety of programs and commercials; productions include promotional
videos for local businesses and organizations, as well as productions for public
access. Responsible for assigning other photographers to assignments in my
absence.
Webmaster, Murray Electric System (August 2005 to present): Maintain and update company's website. Updates include video content, department pages, downloadable forms (in progress), and daily content changes.
Account Executive, Murray Electric System (June 2003 to present): Arrange meetings with clients for advertising, schedule commercials on ad insertion networks, and prepare monthly invoices to send to advertisers. Work closely with the Video Services Coordinator to prepare sales packets and demo tapes.
Program Producer, 91.3 WKMS (July 2004 to present): Host, producer, and creator of The Indie Connection, a music program that introduces listeners to music that’s “below the radar.” Music featured on the show includes local, regional, and international artists. Also responsible for contacting artists for CD submission, in-studio interviews and performances, as well as correspondences with bands around the world.
Master Control Operator, 91.3 WKMS (May 2003 to Nov. 2005): Monitored audio levels, mixed multiple audio sources (including satellite feeds, CD, minidisc, and microphone audio; recorded transmitter readings on a regularly scheduled basis; answered phone calls and wrote PSA's when needed; created improv music shows in the event that the computer system crashed; "on-air" duties included legal IDs, weather reports, underwriters and news.
Audio/Video I Instructor, Murray State University (August 2005 to Dec. 2005): Managed three labs (and lab instructors), focusing primarily on the basics of audio and video production. Standard lectures/lessons included the basics of A/V production, as well as heavy emphasis on commercial scriptwriting and creative storytelling. Special lectures included the use of sound energy in musical program production, as well as a class analysis of the use of color, storytelling, shot composition, and underlying meaning/themes of Edward Scissorhands.
Columnist, The Murray State News (August 2002 to May 2003): Authored a weekly humor column; fan base included both students and faculty, as well as college staff from other papers.
Columnist, The Hill (January 1999-May 1999): Authored a monthly column, focused on miscellaneous, sometimes “oddball” aspects of Henderson, Ky.’s history.
Campus Life Reporter, The Hill (January 1999-May 1999): Covered campus events, copy edited stories, and occasionally laid out pages for the section.
Resident Advisor, Murray State University (August 2000 to May 2002): Coordinated special interest programs (ex. How to Make a Stop Motion Movie and Capture the Flag: A Night of Fitness and Water Guns!) for residents of Richmond College; worked closely with fellow RA’s to promote a safe and healthy living environment for residents, as well as to encourage social interaction amongst residents; served as a liaison between residents and the MSU Housing Office; enforced Housing and University policies.
Drawing Instructor, Kentucky Camp for the Arts (August 2000): Instructed four drawing classes, with age groups ranging from elementary school to high school. Prepared lectures/demonstrations focused on one point perspective/general perspective, still life drawing, and shading/texture.
Counselor, Summer Youth Program (May 2000 to August 2000): Worked closely with other counselors during check-in/check-out of campers from various organizations; performed safety rounds and other on-call duties as required; occasionally organized special interest programs for campers when time permitted; served as a liaison between campers and the MSU Housing Office; enforced Housing and University policies.

The Murray Independent Filmmaker Association (August 1999 to present): Founding member of a student filmmaking organization; served various capacities, including president and project producer/organizer; serve as spokesperson of the club for television, radio, and newspaper interviews; helped coordinate six student film festivals on campus; create fliers and other forms of publicity for film auditions and exhibitions.

Weekly program that spotlighted various businesses that were a part of the
Calloway County Chamber of Commerce; aired on Channel 15.
Recollections (June 2005
to August 2005)
An oral history program featuring World War II veterans from the area,
recounting their experiences and thoughts about the war.
Murray Life Magazine
(July 2005 to present)
Weekly interview show focusing on major players in community life development;
this program is the video compliment to Murray Life Magazine, a local
publication.
Humanely Speaking (August
2005 to present)
Weekly program featuring the programs and services offered by the Calloway
County Humane Society; consists of both field and studio recordings.
The Priscilla Primrose Show
(January 2006 to present)
A lighthearted interview show hosted by Priscilla Primrose, a children’s
presenter; interviews are very candid and are always shot on location. Program
also features book reviews by local school children.

Mneumonic Devices (May
2004)
Stop motion animated short; two individuals must stop an out-of-control robot
with a peculiar name from destroying humanity; student film exhibited at the 5th annual MIFA film festival.
Everyman: A Romantic Comedy
(December 2005)
A romantic comedy designed to relate to anyone and everyone (thus the homage to
the morality play Everyman); student film presented at the
6th annual MIFA film festival
